Vincenzo's Pizza, ITALIAN and subs (submarine sandwiches), Langdon Plaza, 303 North Main Street - see map on right for directions. New York style pizza. Last visit 12/6/2014 - 2 guests - lunch takeout. 14-inch pizza. Could have used another 3 minutes in the oven. Not quite done. Let's just say the cook was not inspired. Usually better, must have been a bad day. $

It's a "Super Sub." 

Pudgie's Pizza - Southside, ITALIAN and subs (submarine sandwiches), Southside location 350 South Main Street. Deep dish (Chicago) style pizza. Also try their "Italian Sausage Special," and their meatball sub, calzones and strombolis. We shared a large "Super Sub." Fresh and delicious. Nice fresh roll - still hot from the oven. An Elmira institution. $. Last visit 4/1/2015 - 2 guests lunch - takeout.

Chicken with Garlic Sauce - a big YES!

Evergreen Express, CHINESE, 505 North Main Street - see map on right for directions. Hit or miss, but, OH when its a hit! This time was great. $. Last visit 5/12/2016 - 2 guests - dinner.  Take-out please - not the best ambience for sitting.

Southside Sub Shop

Whole Roast Beef with everything, except onions.

Southside Sub Shop is another Elmira tradition. 374 South Main Street, see map on right for directions. What you see is what you get. No seating. Take out only. But they make a decent sub fast. Not the best in town but certainly the biggest. Very bread-y. 2 for lunch on 7/12/2012. $
