The Diner, AMERICAN, 59 Old Ithaca Rd, Horseheads, NY 14845. Adorable! Authentic dining car. The ambience alone scores a perfect 10. Exactly what a diner should be. Original booths and stools. Small and cozy. Breakfast and lunch only. Burgers, sandwiches, and daily specials. I had a wonderful cheeseburger - only complaint was the the standard bagged and frozen french fries. Our first visit 4/14/2015 lunch with 2 guests - won't be our last. $.

Maple Lawn Restaurant, AMERICAN, 3162 Lower Maple Avenue - see map on right for directions. All kinds of food - breakfast, lunch, dinner. Last visit 4/3/2015 dinner with 4 guests.   The "Friday Fish Fry" special was tough. Broiled fish was good.  Food service salad and bread. Friday nights are crazy. $ - $$
